Registration for Credit Classes

Prior to registering for classes, students must have completed an HCC credit application and submitted high school/college transcripts or completed placement tests. Each student will receive an HCC user name and password once accepted, which is required to register. Learn more here.

Self-Service

Access Your Account

Self-Service may be accessed during the following hours:

  • Monday - Saturday: 6 a.m. - Midnight
  • Sunday: 6 a.m. - 9 p.m.
     

Self-service provides:

  • Student Planning
    • Search and Register for credit classes
    • View class schedule
    • Add or drop classes directly from the schedule
    • Waitlist closed classes
    • Track progress and view Degree Evaluations
    • Plan classes for future semesters
    • Academic advising assistance
  • Student Financial Aid
    • View Missing Documents
    • View FA Checklist
    • View Satisfactory Academic Status
    • View and accept your financial aid
  • Student Finance
    • View & Print Account Statements
    • Make payments
    • Sign up for the Nelnet Payment Plan
  • Tax Information
    • Get Tax Documents
  • Banking Information
    • Sign up for direct deposit of refund checks
  • Grades
    • View your grades by term
       

Log-in to Self-Service by entering your User ID and password. If you do not know your User ID or password, please contact the IT department or visit the Password Change/Reset Page.

Hours for Password Assistance:

  • Monday - Friday: 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
     

Retention and Registration Office Hours:

Student Center, Suite 110

Walk-in Availability:

  • Monday: 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Notes:

  • If you arrive more than 15 minutes past your scheduled time, you may be asked to reschedule.
  • For all phone and Zoom appointments, you must be in front of a device, and able to log in to Self-Service. If you are driving and unable to fully participate during your appointment, your Retention Specialist may ask you to reschedule.
  • If you choose to come in as a walk-in, you may experience longer wait times depending on need and availability of staff.
     

High School Students

High school students who wish to take courses in the Early College Access Program must schedule an appointment to register by calling 240-500-2240. Registration for Non-Credit Classes

Registration for non-credit classes is done through Instant Enrollment. You do not need to register for an account to search for classes, but you will need an account before adding classes to your cart.
