Your account manages these services: PC, Email, Register/Instant Enrollment/Self-Service, D2L.
Password Requirements
Your new password should be a minimum of 8 characters in length, it is required to contain mixed case letters, at least 1 number, and at least 1 special character.

New Student Activation
I am a new student and need to activate my HCC account
- Open a browser and go to http://outlook.com/student.hagerstowncc.edu
- Type your username@student.hagerstowncc.edu and click Next.
- Type your temporary password and click Sign-In.
- When prompted, enter your Current Password (temporary password provided), enter a new password, enter your new password to confirm it, and click Sign-In.
- If prompted, indicate if you would like to stay signed in.
- Your account is now ready for use.
Note: If you are having trouble getting into your account using the link above, please call or text the help desk at (240-329-4489). Please be ready with your student ID number; you will also be asked questions to confirm your identity.
Current Students
I have forgotten my password
- Visit the password reset page here
- Type your student email address in User ID, fill out the security captcha, and click "Next"
- If not set up to reset your password, you will receive the following error message: “You can't reset your own password because you haven't registered for password reset.”
- Navigate to http://outlook.com/student.hagerstowncc.edu, log in, and go through the authentication setup process.
- Select “Text my mobile phone” or “Call my mobile phone,” fill out your mobile phone number, and click "Text" or “Call,” depending on the option chosen.
- Enter the verification code, click "Next"
- Enter a new password, confirm, and click "Finish"
I want to change my password
- Visit the password change page here
- Type your student email address in User ID, enter current password, and click "Next"
- Enter current password, enter new password, confirm, click "Finish"
Employees
I need to finish enrolling in Self Password Reset
- Visit the password reset page here
- Log in using your HCC Email Address
- You will be notified to provide more information, click Next
- Verify your phone, and/or alternative email and click Finish

I have forgotten my password
Open a browser and go to https://outlook.com/hagerstowncc
- Type your HCC email address and click "Next"
- Choose “Work or school account”
- Click “Forgot my password”
- Enter your HCC email address within the “Email or Username:” field
- Fill out the security captcha and click Next
- Choose the first contact method to receive a verification code
- Enter verification code and click Next
- Choose the second contact method to receive a verification code
- Enter verification code and click Next
- Enter a new password, confirm it, and click Finish
