Career Development Services at HCC

Finding a fulfilling career can feel overwhelming, but Hagerstown Community College’s Career Development Services offers resources to guide students and alumni at every stage of their career journey. We also partner with employers and community organizations to connect students with job and internship opportunities.

HCC supports students who are undecided, committed to a major or seeking to enhance their professional skills. Career advising can help you:

  • Explore careers that align with your interests and strengths
  • Choose or confirm a major
  • Identify career paths within your field of study
  • Build and improve your resume and cover letter
  • Prepare for job searches and interviews
  • Engage in experiential learning opportunities
  • Network with employers
  • Find internships and job openings related to your goals
  • Create a career action plan

Whether you’re exploring majors or confirming your direction, a career advising session can support your decision-making and help you build a pathway toward meaningful employment.

A wide range of tools and resources are available to support your personal and professional growth—from choosing a program of study to preparing for career success.
