HCC Career Closet

HCC Career Closet

HCC’s Career Closet will offer its full pop-up shop March 18, 19, and 20 in the AC&T Student Center. All students are welcome to attend the event and select up to five items, free of charge with student ID.

HCC’s Career Development, Internship and Job Services Office conducts a clothing drive each fall and spring to collect clean, lightly worn, and ready-to-wear professional clothing and accessories. The donated items are made available, free of charge, to students who are preparing for internships and employment opportunities.

Typically, a Career Closet Pop-Up Shop is held in the Fall and in the Spring Semester. Since 2018, the Career Closet has served an average of 150 students annually. Students with the WCPS Marshall Street School Job Development Program assist in the coordination of this annual event.

The clothing drive will continue through March 31, 2025. Acceptable items include jackets, shirts, blouses, skirts, dresses, pants, suits, shoes, ties, scarves, and jewelry/accessories. Donation collection boxes are located in Hagerstown at the following locations:

  • HCC Main Campus (11400 Robinwood Drive – ASA Building, ATC Building, CP Building, and Student Center)
  • HCC Valley Mall Campus (17301 Valley Mall Road)
  • Washington County Chamber of Commerce (1 S. Potomac Street)
  • Washington County Public Schools (10435 Downsville Pike)

Items are available to HCC students by private appointment as needed. Each student may select up to five free items. Student ID is required.
