Tuition Rate Agreement
The Tuition Rate Agreement allows students who live outside of Washington County to receive a reduction in their tuition if they work in Washington County or Maryland. This process is to be completed entirely online.
- View the Tuition Rate Agreement form and make sure your employer is listed on the drop down menu under Employer Information. Click on Employer name and find local businesses alphabetically. If your company is listed, have your employer complete the Tuition Rate Agreement form for you each semester by the posted deadline.
If your employer is not listed on the Tuition Rate Agreement form:
- Have your employer complete the Tuition Rate Agreement Contract.
- Once they submit the form, HCC will sign it and add this company to the form. This should take 2-3 business days.
- Once the business appears on the list, have your employer complete the Tuition Rate Agreement form for you each semester by the posted deadline.
Once the Rate Agreement Form is submitted, it will be reviewed within 7-10 business days. If approved, you would qualify for in-county or out-of-county tuition. You must submit a new Tuition Rate Agreement for each semester – the deadline dates are:
- Fall – September 15
- Spring – February 15
- Summer – June 15
Note: If the rate agreement form is not submitted by the semester due date, your tuition for that semester will not be reduced. For example, if the rate agreement for fall is submitted after September 15, you would not be eligible for a rate agreement until the spring semester.
If you change your schedule, at any point, you MUST notify the Student Financial Aid Office as your waiver amount may need to be revised.
