HCC to offer Accounting Bootcamp series in partnership with Saunders Tax and Accounting
The Workforce Solutions and Continuing Education Division at Hagerstown Community College is offering a new Accounting Bootcamp series, in partnership with Saunders Tax and Accounting. The three-week course will be offered April 30 to May 16, from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., every Tuesday and Thursday online. A supplemental co-working course is also available, offering three additional one-hour co-working sessions weekly, after May 16.
The program introduces participants to basic bookkeeping principles, business financial data, record keeping, and QuickBooks. Upon completion of this program, students will be prepared to clean up their own bookkeeping, create healthy bookkeeping habits, and learn basic analysis and understanding of their own financial reports essential for making business decisions.
“I’m thrilled to offer Accounting Bootcamp to the small business person or solopreneur who wants to handle all aspects of their business, but who is outside their comfort zone in the financial realm,” said Bev Stitely, owner of Saunders Tax and Accounting. “My passion is to help them to overcome this hurdle which many find to be a daunting task. We will do so with direct guidance as they enhance their bookkeeping skills, fix their known and unknown problems, and basically get their books caught up to provide accurate reports. Plus, we will work on creating healthy habits to maintain what they have accomplished.”
