(February 2, 2021) – Hagerstown Community College will begin another summer of College for Kids programming on June 14. Registration is now open for week-long courses that cover a variety of exciting subjects for students in elementary grades through high school. Of the 65 camps offered, 22 are new this summer and five are eligible for scholarships.
Camps are led by highly qualified instructors in small class settings with an emphasis on hands-on, interactive learning experiences. Campers can explore subjects such as culinary camps, Amazing Adventures with Magic Tree House, SAT Prep, Programming with Python, Backyard Ballistics, Mixed Medium Art, Comics Collide: Marvel vs. DC, Photography, and many others. Information on scholarship camps and an online application can be found at www.hagerstowncc.edu/campscholarships. Scholarships are provided thanks to the generosity of JLG, Inc., and the Alice Virginia and David W. Fletcher Foundation.
Camps start June 14 and continue through the week of August 2, with a break the week of July 5. Campers meet Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Individual camp costs vary according to section and materials needed. The camp schedule is available online at www.hagerstowncc.edu/kids.
