Kolb named business incubator director at HCC
Maureen Kolb was recently named business incubator director of the David W. Fletcher Incubator + Labs at Hagerstown Community College.
"Taking on this role at HCC is a privilege. I am thrilled to support our local entrepreneurs by offering them access to cutting-edge resources, expert guidance, and a collaborative environment,” said Kolb. "I look forward to working with aspiring business owners and helping them turn their visions into successful enterprises.”
Maureen started at HCC in 2022, as the business, certification, and licensure program manager in the Workforce Solutions and Continuing Education division. During this time, she developed relationships with many businesses, professionals, and organizations in the Washington County community, while seeking out the needs and opportunities for business, certification, and licensure programs at HCC. Earlier this year, she graduated from Leadership Washington County, furthering her connections in the community.
Prior to that, she worked at Wilkes University as the assistant director of undergraduate admissions. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Business Administration degree from Wilkes University.
The David W. Fletcher Incubator + Labs and the Culinary Incubator are centers dedicated to supporting local entrepreneurs and small businesses by providing various resources and services designed to help them grow and succeed. Services include mentorship, training, office space, commercial kitchen space, networking opportunities, business development resources, and access to funding.
The mission of HCC’s incubators is to inspire entrepreneurship and enhance small businesses as the owners learn, leverage, and launch into Washington County.
