HCC to serve as WCPS reunification site
Officials from Washington County Public Schools, Hagerstown Community College, Washington County Department of Social Services, and the Maryland Center for School Safety recently met at HCC to discuss an upcoming training on family reunification. The group toured HCC’s ARCC, which will serve as a reunification site for WCPS students and parents, should the site ever be needed.
The two-day formal reunification training is scheduled for June 2023. Instructors from the “i love u guys” Foundation will present an overview of the reunification process, including tabletop exercises. The training is made possible through a grant from the Maryland Center for School Safety. Attendees will include WCPS school administrators, school resource officers, HCC staff, and Washington County Reunification Leadership members.
