HCC recognizes outstanding adjunct faculty

Hagerstown Community College recently recognized six of its outstanding adjunct faculty members for 2022.

Angela Leisher, who has been an adjunct instructor for the Behavioral and Social Sciences/Business Division for more than 11 years, has been recognized as the 2022 Outstanding Adjunct Faculty member of the year. Leisher’s nomination referenced her loyalty to the Business Program and open communication with her students and her ability to transition her students during the pandemic.

Division recipients included Jennifer Dopson, who has been an adjunct faculty member for the Developmental Education and Adult Literacy Services Division for 11 years; Thomas Renner, who has been an adjunct instructor in the English and Humanities Division for 25 years; Charlotte Trout, who has taught chemistry as an adjunct for more than five years; Arby Shaw, who has been an adjunct faculty member for the Nursing Division for more than ten years; and Matthew Hast, who has been an adjunct instructor for the Technology and Computer Studies Division for more than five years.
