HCC recognizes outstanding adjunct faculty
(Hagerstown, MD) – Hagerstown Community College recently recognized six of its outstanding adjunct faculty members for 2020.
Andrew O’Brien, who has been an adjunct instructor for the Mathematics and Science Division for nine years, has been recognized as the 2020 Outstanding Adjunct Faculty member of the year. O’Brien’s nomination referenced his attention to detail and the wide array of learning resources and supplemental materials he used during the pandemic.
Division recipients included Angela Leisher, who has been an adjunct faculty member for the Business Program for more than 12 years; Erin Walshkirkman, who has been an adjunct instructor in the Developmental Education and Adult Literacy Services Division for two years; Kelsey Rupp, who has taught dance as an adjunct for five years; Kristina Davis, who has been an adjunct faculty member for the Exercise Science and Health Division for more than ten years; and Melva Meminger, who has been an adjunct instructor for the Nursing Division for five years.
