HCC recognizes ELL healthcare program completers
The Workforce Solutions and Continuing Education Division along with the Program of Adult Literacy Services at Hagerstown Community College would like to recognize the graduates of its spring 2024 English Language Learner (ELL) phlebotomy and CNA/GNA programs. The program is provided through a grant from the Department of Labor and in collaboration with the Western Maryland Consortium. ELL students enrolled in the program are looking to better their lives and the lives of their families by obtaining a credential in the healthcare field. Each program takes about 12 months to complete, and students take the same training as open enrollment students with the addition of English language companion classes to provide support with the material, vocabulary, and pronunciation.
