HCC raises $10,715 to benefit United Way of Washington County
(November 20, 2020)— During the months of October and November, faculty and staff from Hagerstown Community College held a giving campaign to benefit the United Way of Washington County.
Between October 5 and November 6, $10,715 was collected or pledged to the United Way. These funds are used to benefit efforts to improve education, health, and financial stability in Washington County, as well as to provide basic needs to members of the community.
“Every year during our giving campaign, I am so impressed with how our campus community pulls together to support this cause,” said HCC campaign representative Megan Curry. “The United Way funds so many worthy initiatives in Washington County and has really stepped up to support those in need during the COVID-19 pandemic. We are honored to help support their mission.”
