HCC offering scholarships for “Engineering Our Future” camps sponsored by JLG, Inc.
(July 1, 2021) – With support from JLG, Inc., Hagerstown Community College has been able to expand its scholarships for students entering grades four through eight to attend engineering camps for only $8.
Through HCC’s College for Kids, three week-long camps are giving students the opportunity to explore mechanical and electrical engineering concepts, create their own model boom or scissor lift, and work directly with JLG’s volunteers to create, problem solve, and get hands-on learning about how engineers can change the world, protect the earth, and make a difference.
The camps will be held on: July 19 to 23, middle school boys and girls; July 26 to 30, middle school girls; and August 2 to 6, fourth and fifth grade boys and girls. Limited spots remain and fill quickly.
Students can apply for scholarships online at www.hagerstowncc.edu/campscholarhips. For more information on these and other College for Kids classes, visit www.hagerstowncc.edu/kids.
