HCC to offer virtual engineering youth camps sponsored by JLG for $8
(July 10, 2020) – Hagerstown Community College’s College for Kids program is offering virtual engineering camps for kids and teens this summer at a deeply discounted rate thanks to a generous sponsorship from JLG Industries, Inc.
These week-long virtual camps will explore how engineers of all types, from mechanical to electrical, work together to design a lift. Students will work directly with a team of JLG engineers to make their own working model lift.
Camps to be offered include:
- July 27 to 31: Engineering with JLG, for students entering grades 4-5, 10 to 11 a.m.
- July 27 to 31: Women Exploring Engineering with JLG, for girls entering grades 6-8, 1 to 2 p.m.
- August 3 to 7: Engineering Our Future with JLG, for students entering grades 6-8, 10 to 11 a.m.
- August 3 to 7: Engineering Your Future with JLG, for students entering grades 8-12, 1 to 2 p.m.
