HCC to offer free leadership class
(July 9, 2021) – The Citizens Campaign recently announced Hagerstown Community College as one of ten Citizen Leadership Centers across the nation.
Through the Leadership Center, HCC will offer a free online course this fall, entitled “Leadership/No-Blame Problem Solving.” The course will teach the ten steps of no-blame problem solving, proven successful in the venue of local government. It will be offered from August 16 to December 31.
The Leadership Centers, based primarily at community colleges around the nation, aim to give citizens the tools and know-how to exercise their power beyond the ballot, equipping them with the pragmatic, problem-solving skills needed to work together despite their political differences.
The Citizens Campaign is a community of citizen problem solvers dedicated to adding a citizen-driven dimension to our country’s leadership capacity and to restoring service, civility and pragmatism to America’s political culture.
