HCC to host virtual manufacturing conference
(September 22, 2020) – Hagerstown Community College will host a virtual Manufacturing Day conference on Friday, October 2, from 9 to 10 a.m., on the Zoom platform. The conference is intended for regional industry professionals, educators, and students to celebrate Manufacturing Day 2020. Attendees will learn the reality of modern manufacturing, types of high-skill, high-tech, and high-paying jobs that will become available over the next decade.
Participants will hear from James Rzepkowski, assistant secretary of the Maryland Division of Workforce Development and Adult Learning, who will present on the state of manufacturing and apprenticeships in Maryland. HCC President Jim Klauber will present opening remarks and provide an introduction to the conference, which will include various local industry leader panelists who will present on the topic of manufacturing.
