HCC to host evening of one acts
(March 11, 2021)— Hagerstown Community College will host “Karios Komodia (A Time for Comedy),” on Friday, March 26, and Saturday, March 27 at 8 p.m., both in person at the Kepler Theater and via live stream.
Directed by Mike Harsh, two one-act plays will be presented by students in the current Elements of Dramatic Production class. The Clouds, by Aristophanes, is a satire of Greek philosophy from the fourth century BC. The Last Comedienne, by Chris McKerracher, is a 2020 comedy about three female comics competing for a huge cash award.
In-person performances will be held at the Kepler Theater and masks and social distancing is required. Attendance is free but seating is limited and donations are welcome. A quality live stream will be available on the HCC Kepler Theater Facebook page at www.hagerstowncc.edu/hcckepler.
