HCC Foundation Athletic Booster Leadership Committee establishes athletic scholarship

The Hagerstown Community College Foundation Athletic Booster Leadership Committee recently established the Hawk Athletic Boosters Scholarship with an endowment of $25,000. The scholarship will be available for student athletes as soon as fall of 2024.

The HCC Foundation Athletic Booster Leadership Committee continuously raises funds to support HCC student athletes and athletic teams. Funds are raised through a variety of sources, such as annual booster club membership dues, athletic sponsorships, athletic alumni socials and gatherings, the annual HCC Athletic Homecoming Weekend, and other methods.

The Hawk Athletic Boosters Scholarship will be available for student athletes who are residents of Washington County and have at least a 2.0 GPA. The scholarship will be open to students of all athletic teams. Athletic scholarship recipients are selected by the team’s head coach and scholarship funds are assigned through the Athletic Booster Leadership Committee.
