Dr. Veronica Stein named HCC Faculty of the Year
(June 1, 2021) – Hagerstown Community College recently recognized Veronica Stein, professor of chemistry, as the faculty of the year for 2021.
Professor Stein started her career at HCC as an adjunct instructor in 2004 and became a full-time faculty member in 2006. During this time, she served as the principle investigator for the National Science Foundation’s S-STEM scholarship grant, awarding scholarship money to students in S-STEM majors. Professor Stein also co-authored an open educational resource lab manual for Introductory College Chemistry Laboratory (CHM 101L).
Professor Stein earned a bachelor’s degree from Bradley University and went on to obtain a Ph.D. in physical chemistry from the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
