D’Ambrisi named Pharmacy Technician of the Year
Richard P. D’Ambrisi, adjunct instructor at Hagerstown Community College, recently received the Pharmacy Technician of the Year Award from the Maryland Pharmacists Association.
The Maryland Pharmacists Association established this award in 2013 to recognize a pharmacy technician who has made major contributions to the expanding role of the pharmacy technician, the profession of pharmacy, and the association. To be eligible for the award, the candidate must be a paid member of MPhA and a registered pharmacy technician not currently enrolled in a school of pharmacy. Nominations are reviewed and selected by the Past Presidents Council.
D’Ambrisi’s service to the pharmacy profession has included 23 years as a certified pharmacy technician, ten years as a pharmacy technician educator, an MPhA member for over 10 years, and three years as the Technician Appointee on the MPhA Foundation Board of Directors. He has been employed at HCC in allied health programs as an adjunct faculty member since January 2017.
