Fun with microscopes: A gallery activity for the very young

(El) For very young students such as Pre-K or Kindergarten. Students are introduced to the idea of using tools to magnify the world around them. Using hand lenses and pre-focussed dissecting microscopes, they take a tour of their world. A variety of materials can be examined. Students are encouraged to draw what they see either within the lesson or as a follow-up activity with the teacher. Materials available: Supplies list and directions, student worksheet.
