The Rural Maryland Economic Development grant is a strategic initiative generously funded by the Maryland Department of Commerce and administered through the Tri County Council. Positioned as a cornerstone for economic development, this grant plays a pivotal role in advancing HCC’s Transportation and Allied Health workforce development programs. Through this initiative, scholarships are extended to key training programs. Scholarships will be awarded to under-represented populations in these key employment sectors, including women, justice-involved individuals, and learners of the English language, seeking to upskill into high-demand and well-paid employment in two growing employment sectors: Transportation/Logistics and Allied Health.
