Respondus Information for Students
Respondus Information for Students
Background/Purpose
Respondus was chosen as the automated proctoring solution for students testing at home. Testing is available 24/7, as is technical support.
Student Guide
Please access the Respondus Student Guide to familiarize yourself with Respondus. This document provides a detailed, step-by-step guide on what to expect when testing through Respondus. If testing remotely, your instructor may require both Respondus Lockdown Browser and Respondus Monitor.
FAQs
Where do I download Respondus Lockdown Browser?
A download link will be provided at the time of testing via D2L. You may also download the browser ahead of time.
- Windows/Mac users – click here. You will be able to select either the Windows version or the Mac version.
- Chromebooks owned by you – click here. This link will redirect you to the Chrome web store, at which point you will select ‘Add to Chrome’ to install the Lockdown Browser Extension.
- Managed Chromebooks – have your Google administrator contact the Testing Center (testingcenter@hagerstowncc.edu).
- NOTE: Support for Windows 7 will end on June 28. Students using Windows 7 will need to upgrade to Windows 10/11 or find another device that is supported. LockDown Browser can be used with Windows 10+, Mac 10.13+, Chromebook, and iPads running iOS 11+ (the iPad setting must be enabled by the instructor).
