Coach Brown enters his fourth season as the HCC head coach having previously served as an HCC assistant for 17 years. He most recently served as Head Girl's Coach at North Hagerstown High School from 2003-2009. Coach Brown played for the Hawks and then, after graduation, he returned as an assistant coach in 1985. He served in that capacity until 2002. The Hawks experienced consistent success during that period having won 20 or more games in 15 of 17 seasons. They twice qualified for the NJCAA National Championships at Hutchinson, Kansas. While at North High, Coach Brown's six year record was 96-47, including 64-10 over his final three seasons. The 2008-09 Lady Hubs reached the MD State Semi-Finals. Brown founded the Tri-State Youth Athletic Association, which produced numerous college basketball players who had participated in the X-Press AAU program. Coach Brown graduated from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore in 1985 with a degree in Physical Therapy and later earned a Masters of Education Degree from Frostburg State University. He is President of Tri-State Rehab, Inc. Coach Brown and his wife Maria, live in Hagerstown with their five children; Brandon, Susana, Christen, Kaitlin and Ryan.
