Hagerstown Community College will host the annual Public Health and Safety Awards ceremony on Friday, May 9 at 6:30 p.m. in the Kepler Theater. The ceremony recognizes the contributions of officers who have served the citizens of Washington County in an exemplary manor during the past year. The guest speaker is Delegate Richard B. Weldon Jr., Maryland House of Delegates, District 3B.
Awards will be presented to outstanding employees from the Washington County Detention Center, the Washington County Sheriff’s Office, the Maryland Correctional Training Center, the Roxbury Correctional Institution, the Maryland Correctional Institution, the Hancock Police Department, and the Maryland State Police, Hagerstown Barracks.
