Submitted by Leigh-Anne Mauk on Wed, 10/31/2012 - 10:23am
Students in the Veterans Club at Hagerstown Community College will hold a special screening of the documentary, “Restrepo,” on Sat., Nov. 10, at 7 p.m., in the Kepler Center on HCC’s main campus.
“Restrepo” is a full-length documentary that chronicles the deployment of a U.S. platoon in Afghanistan's Korengal Valley. According to the film website, the movie focuses on a remote 15-man outpost that was considered to be one of the most dangerous postings in the U.S. military. The outpost is named “Restrepo” after a medic that was killed in action.
This event is free and is open to the public. Please note that this film is rated R and is for mature audiences only.
