HCC to offer senior adult computer courses

The Continuing Education and Business Services division at Hagerstown Community College will offer two beginner-level, senior adult computer courses, beginning in October.
“Computer Basics” will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from Oct. 23 through Nov. 27, from 9 to 11 a.m., at HCC’s Valley Mall Center. In this course, participants will learn about the components of a computer, how to buy a personal computer, and the basics of the Internet and Windows XP. The cost for the course, text book, and registration is $129 for senior adults and $179 for all others.
“Introduction to Microsoft Windows 7” will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from Oct. 23 to Nov. 27, from 1 to 3 p.m., at HCC’s Valley Mall Center. In this course, participants will gain a basic understanding of Windows 7, focusing on new applications and advantages. This course is designed for participants who have basic keyboard knowledge. The cost for the course, text book, and registration is $129 for senior adults and $179 for all others.
