Submitted by Leigh-Anne Mauk on Tue, 06/26/2012 - 4:12pm
This summer, the Continuing Education and Community Services Division at Hagerstown Community College will offer two new art courses.
The first course, “Drawing,” will be held on Tuesdays, from 6 to 8 p.m., beginning July 17 and ending Aug. 14. Participants will practice techniques for drawing portraits, landscapes, and still lifes using pencil and charcoal. All participants are asked to bring their own sketchbooks. Cost is $126.
The second course, “Visionary Art,” will be held on Thursdays, from 6 to 8 p.m., beginning July 19 and ending Aug. 16. Participants will create art of their own choosing in a collaborative classroom environment. Students are encouraged to bring sketchbooks and examples of their favorite fantasy, visionary, surreal, and spiritual art. Cost is $82.
All classes will be held in the Kepler Center on HCC’s main campus. For more information, or to register, call 240-500-2236, or go to www.hagerstowncc.edu/coned/register.
