HCC hosts annual Administrative Professionals Day event

Hagerstown Community College’s Continuing Education and Community Services Division, in collaboration with the International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP), will offer a day of appreciation and learning for local administrative professionals. This annual event will be held on Fri., April 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in the Elliott Center on HCC’s main campus.
Registration begins at 8 a.m. followed immediately by a continental breakfast. A series of sessions and workshops will follow. Speakers include Jeannette Fitzwater, author of the training program “Cure for the Workplace Headache,” who will speak about stress management; Denny Hartman, HCC adjunct instructor, who speak about time management; and Liz Weber, author of “Don’t Let ‘Em Treat You Like a Girl,” who will give the keynote speech on the topic of leadership.
This event is specially designed to encourage employers to reward the hard-working secretaries and administrative assistants who often form the backbones of companies and corporations. Cost is $39. Fee includes continental breakfast.
