PTK extends donation deadline

Students in the Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) Honor Society at Hagerstown Community College are collecting donations for their upcoming Prom Apparel Gala, which will be held in March. The deadline was recently extended through March 2.

The student honor society is asking that students, staff, faculty, and local community members donate new or used prom dresses, shoes, and wraps. Donated items will be sold to the public at low, affordable costs during the gala. The Prom Apparel Gala will be held on Fri., March 16, from 4:30 to 7 p.m., on HCC’s main campus. Proceeds will be used to fund the annual student trip to the National Phi Theta Kappa Conference.

Donations will be accepted on Fri., Feb. 24 and again on Fri., March 2, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. each day, in the lobby of the Learning Resource Center (LRC) on HCC’s main campus. Donations will also be accepted from 4 to 6 p.m. on March 2 in the same location.
