HCC mourns the loss of Jonathan Hafner

HCC student Jonathan Hafner passed away on Mon., Nov. 14. Hafner, 19, was a general studies major at HCC who dreamed of one day becoming a renowned pastry chef. Hafner was well-known on campus and served as secretary for the HCC Art Club in addition to working at HCC's main cafeteria, the Valley Eatery, for the last year and a half.

A memorial service will be held on Sun., Nov. 20, at 3 p.m., at the Welty Church of the Brethren, located at 13465 Greenburg Road in Smithsburg, Maryland. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that contributions be made to the HCC Art Club. Donations can be mailed to:
