Navy Sea Chanters perform Sept. 22

The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will once again host the U.S. Navy Sea Chanters as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series. The show, originally scheduled for Aug. 14 but canceled due to severe thunderstorms, has been rescheduled for Thurs., Sept. 22, at 6 p.m., in HCC’s Alumni Amphitheater.
The U.S. Navy Sea Chanters is the official chorus of the United States Navy. Under the direction of Senior Chief Musician Georgina L. Todd., the group performs a variety of music including choral arrangements and Broadway show tunes and travels throughout the United States, often appearing at state and national events. The Sea Chanters are frequent performers at White House events and have played alongside musicians such as Marian Anderson, Perry Como, and Kenny Rogers.
