B&D Consulting, Inc. Receives Contract Award

Technical Innovation Center client B&D Consulting, Inc. just received the 8(a) STARS II contract award from the federal government.
The 8(a) STARS II is a 10 billion dollar multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract engineered to provide cutting-edge technology solutions from award-winning 8(a) small businesses to federal agencies. It is designed to promote small business utilization when purchasing information technology (IT) services or IT services-based solutions for the federal government. The 8(a) STARS II program is reserved exclusively for qualifying certified 8(a) small business concerns as the prime contractors per Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.8.
Industry partners were chosen for this contract who could demonstrate competitive pricing, technical proficiency, and industrial credentials. The contract offers simple to complex IT service solutions such as: IT help desk support, information assurance, cyber-security, virtualization, IPV6, Web 2.0, and more.

B&D Consulting, Inc. was awarded all functional areas to include:
- 541511 — Custom Computer Programming Services
- 541512 — Computer Systems Design Services
- 541513 — Computer Facilities Management Services
- 541519 — Other Computer Related Services
The Technical Innovation Center (TIC) is Washington County’s full-service technology business incubator at Hagerstown Community College.
