New Figure Drawing Class starts Jan. 12
Submitted by Leigh-Anne Mauk on Tue, 01/04/2011 - 10:52am
HCC will offer a new figure drawing class on Wednesdays, from 1 to 4:35 p.m., beginning Jan. 12 and ending May 3. Classes will be held in the Advanced Technology Center (ATC) on HCC's main campus.
This three-credit course is designed for those who possess basic drawing skills and a desire to gain a solid understanding of the human form. The course will combine lecture and studio exercises. Students will work from live models and will study skeletal structure, body proportions, and movement. The course will taught by adjunct instructor Janet Siegmann Salter. Since 2003, Salter has led workshops in painting and drawing at McDaniel College and has exhibited widely in the Baltimore/Washington area. She is also an alumna summa cum laude from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) in Baltimore.
To register, contact the Office of Admissions, Records, and Registration at 301-790-2800, ext. 238, or e-mail admissions@hagerstowncc.edu.
