Annual MLK Day event held Jan. 17

HCC is officially closed on Mon., Jan. 17 but students, staff, faculty, and the public are encouraged to attend The Annual MLK Day Diversity Celebration, which will be held on Jan. 17, from 1 to 3 p.m., in the ARCC. This year's theme will be: “Keeping the Unity in Community College.”
Program Details:

I. Welcome from Dr. Guy Altieri, President of Hagerstown Community College
II. Musical Performance by the Greater Campher Temple Combined Choir, directed by the Minister of Music Evangelist JaDora Jewell
III. Keynote speaker, Chad Adero, Making a Commitment Like King, Director, Multicultural Student Services at Frederick Community College, Introduction by Monica Hutchins
IV. Presentation by Black Student Union, Introduction by Monica Hutchins
V. Musical performance by Natalie Stephenson
VI. Presentation by Tuncer Turker, President of the Turkish Culture and Friendship Club
VII. Poetry reading by Leticia West
VIII. Musical Performance by Zachary Worthy
IX. Dramatic Rendition of Dr. King’s “I Have a Dream” speech by The Reverend Darin Mency, Greater Campher Temple
