Patient behavior course for radiographers offered through HCC

Hagerstown Community College’s Continuing Education and Community Services Division is offering a patient behavior seminar as part of a series of continuing education workshops geared towards radiographers and medical imaging specialists.
“Encouraging Patient Compliance,” will be held on Sat., Oct. 9, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Discussion topics include behavioral triggers; types of behavioral disorders; communication skills; disruptive behavior strategy; asking for assistance; and organizational policy and procedures. Guest speaker will be Cherie Clippinger, RN, the education nurse for the in-patient hospital program at Brook Lane.
Cost is $35 per person. WCHSYS medical imagers may attend for $15 per person. Fee includes continental breakfast, continuing education credits, certificate of participation, and handout materials. Four professional continuing education credits are available for radiographers.
