U.S. Navy Sea Chanters perform Aug. 19

The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host the U.S. Navy Sea Chanters as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series, on Thurs., Aug. 19, at 6 p.m., in HCC’s Alumni Amphitheater.
The U.S. Navy Sea Chanters is the official chorus of the United States Navy. Under the direction of Senior Chief Musician Georgina L. Todd., the group performs a variety of music including choral arrangements and Broadway show tunes and travels throughout the United States, often appearing at state and national events. The Sea Chanters are frequent performers at White House events and have played alongside musicians such as Marian Anderson, Perry Como, and Kenny Rogers.
This concert is free and open to the public. The Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series is sponsored by the Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Joint Veterans Council, and Amvets Department Service Foundation, Inc.
