HCC offers contractor preparation courses

Hagerstown Community College’s Center for Continuing Education is offering two courses geared towards contractors in spring 2010.

The first course, “Preparing for the Home Improvement Examination,” will be offered on Wednesdays, from 6 to 9 p.m., beginning Feb. 3 and ending Feb. 23. This course is geared towards helping students prepare for the Maryland Home Improvement Contractor Examination. Cost is $223. Cost for seniors is $164.

The second course, “Computer Applications – Construction” is offered on Mondays, from 6 to 9 p.m., beginning March 29 and ending June 7. This course will focus on using computers as a construction management tool with special emphasis on word processing, customized spreadsheets, and e-mail communications. Cost is $294.
