HCC expands lifelong learning courses

Hagerstown Community College’s Center for Continuing Education has added new non-credit courses in the lifelong learning area for winter 2010.
Lifelong learning courses cover a wide range of topics including art studio classes such as chair caning, stained glass making, and rubber stamping; calligraphy; cultural and historical courses and field trips; genealogy; home and garden; knitting; music; personal and professional development; photography; and writing, among others.
New courses offered this winter include Oil & Acrylic Painting – Snowy Scenes, Go Green—Make a String Market Bag, The Root Causes of the Great Depression, New France at the Beginning of the French and Indian War, Terra Cotta Warriors Exhibit – National Geographic Museum, Washington D.C. Research Trip, and 12 Ways to Know Yourself Better.
