HCC offers cardiac seminar

Hagerstown Community College’s Center for Continuing Education is offering a seminar on “Cardiac Updates,” on Sat., Oct. 3, from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., at The Merle S. Elliott Continuing Education and Conference Center on HCC’s main campus.

Registration begins at 7:45 a.m., followed immediately by refreshments. A series of sessions and workshops will follow, including: a Tri-State Echocardiography Society meeting, at 8 a.m.; “Pediatric Echocardiography,” with Sarah Clauss, at 8:30 a.m.; “Congenital Anomalies,” with Clauss, at 9:45 p.m.; “Tissue Doppler,” with Matthew Roan, at 11 a.m.; “3D Cardiac Imaging,” with Dennis Atherton, at 12:10 p.m.; “Live Scan Session – Cardiac Structures in 3D,” with Michele Kushman, at 1:10 p.m.; and “Echocardiographic Assessment of Diastolic Function,” with Chris Vaccari, at 2:10 p.m.

Professional continuing education credits are available for sonographers, radiographers, nurses, and nurse practitioners. Partial funding has been provided by the Continuing Education Fund for Graduate Radiographers established by Associated Radiologists, PA in Hagerstown, Md.
