Submitted by Leigh-Anne Mauk on Mon, 03/02/2009 - 1:15pm
This spring, Hagerstown Community College’s Center for Continuing Education is offering a brand new course on business writing geared towards small business owners and job seekers, as well as those who wish to improve their business writing skills. Entitled, “Looking Good: Better Business Writing for a Better Business Image,” the course is offered on Thursdays, from April 23 through May 14, from 6 to 8 p.m., in HCC’s Valley Mall Center.
Taught by HCC instructor Anne Flentgen Rich, the course will cover a variety of topics, including basic grammar instruction and general business writing techniques, with special emphasis on how a well-written letter, memo, proposal or e-mail can be the difference between getting clients and losing them. The course will also provide students with model business documents and is intended to help participants gain confidence in their writing abilities. Cost is $ 99.
