HCC offers introductory stock market course

Hagerstown Community College’s Center for Continuing Education is offering an introductory finance course on “Understanding the Stock Market.”
Taught by HCC instructor Gaye McGovern, this course will cover the basics needed to understand the stock market, including topics such as asset classes, savings versus investing, risk and reward, how to invest in stocks, bonds, and cash equivalents, as well as how to find investments that will help you meet your long term financial goals. Course is offered on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at HCC’s Valley Mall Center. Cost is $35.
