HCC offers course in construction project management
Submitted by Leigh-Anne Mauk on Tue, 09/16/2008 - 12:00am
This fall, Hagerstown Community College’s Center for Continuing Education is offering a brand new course in construction project management on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from Sept. 23 through Oct. 30, from 6 to 9 p.m., in the Classroom Building on HCC’s main campus.
Taught by HCC instructor Ray Harbaugh, the course will provide students with an overview of the ‘project management’ function in the building construction process. Students will review the project management activities including contract award, scope review, submittals, project planning, scheduling, monitoring and adjusting, accounting and cost control, as well as project close-out. Administration of the project including bonding, progress meetings, inspection, and job cost analysis will also be discussed.
For more information or to register, call 301-790-2800, ext. 236, or go to www.hagerstowncc.edu/coned.
