Submitted by Leigh-Anne Mauk on Tue, 04/29/2008 - 12:00am
The Center for Continuing Education at Hagerstown Community College will offer a home dog grooming course on three consecutive Wednesday evenings, beginning June 4, from 6 to 9 p.m., at the Humane Society of Washington County.
Lori Sweeney, of Licking Creek Grooming, will be the instructor. Participants will learn basic grooming techniques including clipping, scissoring, thinning and how to choose a groomer. Topics will also include nutrition for a healthy coat, safety, and grooming equipment. Students will be able to bring pets the last night of class to get grooming tips.
Course fee is $59, with a $25 materials fee (includes textbook) and $5 registration fee. To register or learn more, contact HCC’s Center for Continuing Education at 301-790-2800, ext. 236.
