HCC holds annual Kreykenbohm lecture series
Submitted by Leigh-Anne Mauk on Wed, 04/16/2008 - 12:00am
Hagerstown Community College presents its annual Kreykenbohm lecture series on Mon., April 21, at 7 p.m., in HCC’s Kepler Theater.
The lecture series is named after Helen Kreykenbohm, a retired professor and former humanities division chair at HCC. This year’s lecture will feature a retrospective of past lectures in honor of the 20th anniversary of Kreykenbohm’s retirement.
Askold Skalsky, an English and humanities professor at HCC, will also be honored at this year’s lecture. This semester, Skalsky retires after 40 years of teaching at HCC.
The lecture coincides with HCC’s annual faculty art show. A reception for faculty artists will be held at 6 p.m. prior to the lecture. Both events are free and are open to the public. For more information, call 301-790-2800, ext. 262.
