HCC announces seminars for 14th Annual Flower & Garden Show

The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association announces its seminar schedule for the HCC Alumni Association’s 14th Annual Flower & Garden Show to be held in the College’s Athletic, Recreation, and Community Center on Saturday, March 15, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 16, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Demonstrations will be held throughout both days. In addition, Saturday’s seminars are:
9:30 a.m. - “Tree Planting 101,” by Tim Evans, Family Tree Nursery
10:30 a.m. - “Yoga in and out of the Garden,” by Simone Heurich, Flowering Heart Yoga
11:30 a.m. - “Healthy Cooking with Herbs” by Madeline Wadja, Willow Pond Farm
12:30 p.m. - “Low Input Lawn Care,” by Jeff Semler, Maryland Cooperative Extension, Wash. Co.
1:30 p.m. - “Gardening for Hummingbirds,” by Annette Ipsan, Univ. of MD Cooperative Extension

2:30 p.m. - “Shave or a Haircut? Tree and Shrub Pruning for Health and Beauty,” by Dan Yates, Bartlett

1:30 p.m. - “Tea in the Garden” by Judy Larkin, The Tea Lady
2:30 p.m. - “Dried Flowers: Growing, Picking, and Preserving,” by Rose Dillner, Carriage House at

3:30 p.m. - “Sharpening Your Garden Tools,” by Tom Law, retired carpenter
