Basketmaking class offered at HCC

Hagerstown Community College’s Center for Continuing Education offers a new basket making class in February. “Basket Making – Market Basket with a Swing Handle” will be taught Saturday, Feb. 24, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

This basic basket measures approximately 12”x12” and incorporates several weaving techniques into its design. Instructor for the class is Margaret Peregord, who creates her own designs for baskets.
