Matthew Lesko to speak
Submitted by Leigh-Anne Mauk on Thu, 04/20/2006 - 12:00am
Matthew Lesko, probably better know as the “free money guy from TV,” will speak at Hagerstown Community College on Thursday, May 4, at 6:30 p.m. in the College Center. The event is free and open to the public. Lesko’s niche is showing everyday people how to get free services and products from the federal government.
Lesko, often seen in brightly colored suites covered with question marks, is a best-selling author of over 70 books and has appeared on many popular TV shows, such as Larry King Live, Good Morning America, The Oprah Winfrey Show, and Jay Leno. In addition, Lesko is a former syndicated consumer columnist for Good Housekeeping, The New York Times Syndicate, and The Chicago Tribune. This will be his first appearance in Washington County.
The show is sponsored by the HCC Student Government Association. For more information, call HCC at 301-790-2800, ext. 225.
