Bontempo to teach ceramics at HCC

Joan Bontempo has been hired as a part-time art instructor for Hagerstown Community College. Beginning this summer, she will teach a variety of ceramics classes.

Bontempo has more than 25 years experience teaching ceramics, consulting and exhibiting her work nationally, including a recent exhibit at the Washington County Arts Council Gallery. She is owner and primary artist for B.L. Ink Arts in Sharpsburg and holds a master’s degree of fine arts from Wayne State University and a bachelor’s degree of fine arts from the University of Notre Dame.
